If you were absent and missed the McPherson College experience, describe the Old Man of Crete. Where does he show up inThe Inferno? What does he look like? What does he symbolize? Your post needs to be at least 100 words.
Reflect on Wednesday's experience at McPherson College. This is fairly typical of an English class in college. What did you think? What about the experience was positive, and what was negative? Explain. Your post needs to be at least 100 words, and you need only respond to me.

It was okay. I wasn't exactly that impressed how it went. It seemed like we weren't that involved. I know she said that she only has 25 students in that class so maybe that would make it seem a little better. It was kind of intimidating at the amount of people we tried to fit in that space. Over all it wasn't that bad. And I know it wasn't her fault that some of us couldn't hear her that well, so that also was kind of an issue for me. The experience of seeing her as a teacher was over all pretty good. She really seemed like she knew what she was talking about and was full of information.

The old man of crete shows up in cantos 12-17 ( circle 7) he has a gold head, silver arms and chest, brass midsection and iron for the rest of his body. his body stands here designed like this to show the growth of mankind through the ages. such as the gold and silver ages, or the iron age. his head is also full and it is there to show the sorrows for mankind.

I was sitting in the very back, so it was really hard to hear what she was saying. However, she seemed liked she knew was she was talking about, considering she has been doing this a long time. I will say it was nice to get out of school, and miss a couple hours of school. We just kind of filed onto the stage, which I was surprised we were all on the stage instead of sitting in the chairs. We could have heard better if there was a microphone. Overall it wasn't a bad experience. The only bad thing was I couldn't understand her.

I was sitting on one of the side rows and found it frustratingly difficult to hear her. Catching only bits and pieces of what she was saying, it was hard to understand exactly what was going on. The Medusa conversation she was having (which I missed the beginning of) didn't make any sense to what I interpreted it as, but I feel like if I would have heard the entire thing I would have a better understanding of what she was meaning. It would've been a lot better if it had been done elsewhere, but I understand last minute changes having to be made.

Well I was sitting in the back row , so I couldn't really hear her that well . But heard a few things about what she was talking about . But of all honesty , I think that she is a very intelligent women . I kinda wish I decided to sit in the front row so I would have understood better than I did .And I think I would have enjoyed it a lot more too But other than that , I loved the sugar cookies they had . Nice and soft . #Yummy ^-^

I'm a big fan of reading and I very much enjoyed The Inferno. So I was actually very excited to listen to this professor. Unfortunately, she was a little hard to hear, and it didn't exactly help with the students behind me talking, texting, and kicking my chair the entire. time. At one point "F**k Dante!" was said very loudly and several people turned their heads towards us. I almost got up and moved seats but it's also rude to just stand up and do that while she's in the middle of a lecture. A very embarrassing and disappointing trip for myself and my friends. I do wish I could have heard more.

I thought the way it was set up could have been better. I felt like there was such a large group of us in such a little area. I also understand it was a last minute change and we were not supposed to be on the stage like we were. Sitting towards the back made it hard to hear her at times, but with what I could hear, I enjoyed the discussion. She knew so much about the book and it was good that we were able to learn more about the book through her. It was good getting experience for future college english classes.

I wasn't that fond of it. It was hard to understand her and I didn't always understand her but the good was the discussions with the college kids and getting the feel of a college atmostphere. But it also woulda been nice to interact more with them as well as the teacher. Overall it was alright.

It was definitely different than what I'm used to obviously. It was hard to pay attention with that many kids and since it was hard to hear anything she was saying it was really easy to get distracted. The only time we were really involved was when she would give us little breaks to talk about things but we couldn't bhear what she told us to talk about so I really didn't feel involved at all. She seemed like a good teacher and I'm sure she knew what she was talking about, I just didn't get much out of it.

I personally enjoyed this experience. I sat on the second row off to the side, and I could hear her perfectly fine. I loved her intensity, and felt involved in the conversation. It was rather intimidating some of the questions she asked because I had to think, but it was a nice challenge. I really liked The Inferno so I liked thinking in greater detail about. However it was rather hot in there, and there were students around me who would not stop talking. They also ran out of water so that was rough, but I made it through. I really appreciated this experience.

It went okay honestly, I was pretty bored most of the time, I could barely even hear the speaker. Maybe I could of heard her if the people behind me stopped talking!!! All in all though it was fun, when I did hear the speaker she made some good points and some funny comments on Dante's Inferno. It was a fun trip and I hope the next class that gets to go can actually hear her!

I think the opportunity there could have been much better if we would have had a better place to meet. It was very hard to hear her which made it difficult to follow what she was saying. I wish we could have been in a normal classroom setting and able to hear her. I think it was a great idea and worth trying again in a different setting.

The experience of going to mac college for the Dante's Inferno book talk was positive. It helped me understand the book from the college perspective rather than high school. I have not been in a college environment for any type of learning other than a few courses here at the high school. Seeing the professor give a detailed explanation of Dante's real world view and his meaning for the book helped give the book a little more personality than what I had thought prior to the trip. Sitting in the back though it was pretty uncomfortable listening from a mile away I wish I would've know this before-hand. She had a microphone why didn't she use it ? Any how it was a good thing for us to go do.

I actually really enjoyed attending the college class on Wednesday. It might just be because I like thinking way in too far into things, but I loved how she brought up points that I would have never thought of, and then had us discuss them. The professor was easy to listen to, and kept the class interesting. I was surprised to be satisfied with the class size. I feel like if it was any smaller I would feel pressured to talk, and that makes me panic, but being willing to share is a much more enjoyable experience for me.

Overall the experience was a positive one. It cleared some things up that I didn't quite fully understand yet. Some parts are still a little hazy because I couldn't hear her fully from where I was sitting but I got most of it. Going to a college like that I think is really helpful. Mostly because the professors there have had a ton of experience and know how to answer pretty much every question we have. Again it was a good experience and very helpful to me.
