Discuss your initial ideas about poetry...yes, you can be honest! How was Bill Watterson's poem on parents different from your ideas about poetry? Of the poems we have read and/or discussed in class, which was your favorite? Which was your least favorite? What did you react to? Were there any elements that you found confusing? Explain yourself thoroughly. Your response needs to be at least 100 words, and you need only respond to me.
For your post this week, you need to find a stanza of poetry that is written primarily in anapestic feet. It does not matter how long the lines are, only that they are written in anapestic feet. Copy and paste the stanza into your reply for full credit. You cannot use any poem that has already been posted by anyone else in your class. There is not discussion required for this post; however, if you choose the same stanza as anyone else, you will receive zero credit. There is plenty of poetry for everyone to choose from.
Search the web for a poem of your choosing. Copy and paste the poem as part of your reply. Then explain why you chose it. What did you like about it? What aspect of it spoke to you? Your response (not including the poem itself) needs to be at least 100 words, and no poem can be used/posted more than once.
