At this point, you have completed your "virtual tour" of Dante's Inferno. Describe several elements that stood out to you during your tour. What are you most looking forward to as we begin our descent into Hell? Respond with at least 100 words. You need only respond to me.

After my virtual tour of hell I am most interested to examine Dante and Virgils journey into the abyss. The interaction between the two sent from a holy perspective to those of the not so holy dispostion. The way that Dante uses monsters and ideas from a lot of religions versus one unyeidling way of thinking will be a refreshing journey I think. While the concept of hell has always been associated with wrong doing for me the book of the pessimistic Italian shall be new and entertainingly awkward.

I thought the punishment for the sins committed were rather just. Plus the fit the sin rather well. Like those that lived there lives without God were punished to be just beyond his vision. What I'm looking forward to is seeing how our versions of Hell clash with Dante's version, and how his trip plays out.

After the virtual tour I became really interested in "The Inferno" it's a super interesting concept to read about and to just see the lore and story telling the author has created just out of his mind, I very much like how he combined two different religions together to make the amazing book. So I am very interested to see how the book plays out and look forward to reading the entire trilogy of the story.

I really liked how much of the Greek mythology I found during the Virtual Tour. It's interesting to see how Dante merged some of the Demi-Gods and creatures in with Christian and other religious beliefs. I think the blending of all these different beliefs into this version of Hell/Underworld is what really makes it intriguing. By not sticking to just one religion or belief structure not only will it be a more interesting read, but it’ll appeal to more people than if it was very close-mindedly focused on one. I’m looking forward to reading more about these Greek creatures and how they interact with the other elements in this “Hell”.

I'm interested to see how another person think hell is going to be like. Obviously this is fiction, but it still kind of makes you wonder how close to hell it might be. Not that I plan to find out the difference. Doing the tour and finding out all the circles is a little creepy. It was weird seeing people being satisfied once they found out what circle of hell they got, once most of us took that quiz. It makes you think that someone actually thought of this book and wrote it. Although I probably remember this is fiction and someone just made it up, i'm excited to read the book and see what its really about.

While working on the virtual tour I was actually amazed at how much detail was put in Dante's Inferno. It incorporated quite a bit of Greek mythology, and it brought up a few Bible references. It was also interesting to think that someone actually came up with all of this. It actually made me think about what I envision Hell looking like, not that I plan on finding out, but it is very interesting to think about. After finishing the tour, I am looking forward to seeing how Dante puts all the details together. I am excited to see his version of Hell. The hardest part for me is going to be reminding myself that this is just fiction. Over all I can't wait to read this book.

The virtual tour was extremely well put together and I feel as though I will be visiting the site often while reading the book to help me understand. The part that stood out to me the most was the description of Satan himself. He is not his own power and he is not a part of our lives causing evil, he is just the most evil spirit and his followers are damned to the same fate. So many aspects of mythology and christianity seemed to be weaved into Dante's Inferno almost flawlessly and I am eager to explore that while reading the book.

After going through and working on the virtual tour I thought it was very well put together and helped me understand what we are about to read. The way Dante describes hell was way different than I imagined it would be. I now have more visions of hell than I did in class when we were asked to write down what pictures came to our minds when thinking of hell. What I really liked was how detailed he was while explaining the punishments in hell. I am very excited to begin reading this book.

While working on the virtual tour, I was amazed by all the different levels of hell. When I was younger I just imagined hell to be one place that was torturous. Looking at Dante's interpretation of it was very interesting. I also liked how he includes what the sins were and what the punishments were for each circle. I'm excited to read this book.

The Dante Inferno virtual tour of hell was helpful in understanding his personal vision of hell. I found his circles down into the dark abyss interesting that he links the "severity" of sin with the circles. His punishments for different sins were linked to the "crime". While his interpretation of hell is interesting, it is only his interpretation. He incorporated some Christianity, as well as mythology into this vision of hell. While my personal views of what hell might look like are different than his, it will be interesting to read the Inferno and discuss our own opinions and interpretations of hell.

After the virtual tour I'm interested in seeing the contrasts between which sin gets which punishment. It'll be somewhat entertaining because most of us have all done something even to the slightest degree that is punishable in this book. It'll kind of be a reflecting moment and maybe make some of us who do believe in an afterlife not choose to go down the wrong path with our choices. Also I am interested in the poem part of this book, it'll help visualize the content Dante is explaining.
