We've spend the last week working on Academic Resumes and Scholarship essays. What have you discovered about yourself during this process? Are you more or less prepared for your future than you thought? Explain. Your response must be at least 100 words, and you only need to respond to me.

I have found out that there is a large abundance of activities in my life, ranging from work experience to leadership. I believe that I am more prepared for my future than I thought, especially after working through the resume. I am very excited for what is to come in the future, especially college and my new career path in the agriculture industry! I am all about being prepared and organized, otherwise I go bonkers, so working through a scholarship essay and updating my resume helps me stay neat and tidy and even make new plans for the future, because anything can always change

I have discovered that I am very involved with the community. When I was creating my resume, I found that I had a lot of community service hours and leadership positions. I am the type of person who cares about others and is always putting them first. I love knowing that I've done the right thing. With what I plan on doing in the future, these will only help me accomplish my goals. I am impressed with my academic success and I am looking forward to see where it can take me with my post-secondary education. While writing my scholarship essay, it all began to seem real. The next chapter in my life is about here. I believe that I am more prepared than I thought I was for my future.

Through out this week I have learned that I will be the first female in my family to graduate and go to college since my great grandma was in school. In my eyes that is kind of a big deal, it also puts a lot of pressure on me to do well and succeed in everything I do this year and througout college. I don't think that I am anymore prepared for college or any less than I was before. It is also still early in the year so hopefully that will change. One thing I have realized is how much the little things like moving or something like that can affect how you do in school.

If you would have asked me at the beginning of high school what I wanted to do as an adult, I wouldn't have been able to give an answer. Even at the beginning of this summer, my plans were vague. Now, however, my future is beginning to take shape. Over the summer, I finally decided on a college. I immediately began the application process. As this class worked on preparing for college, I realized that much of what I needed was already completed. I still have more essays to write, more scholarships to apply for. However, before school even started I had written an academic resume and applied to two of the three colleges I am considering. This will allow me to take advantage of more scholarship opportunities as they come along.

I have realized that I've done a lot more community service work than I thought throughout the past 8 years. I always felt I wasn't doing enough, but making the resume showed me that I have done a lot. This will help for my future so yes I think I am more prepared for my future than I thought.

This past week, I have found that I am way more prepared for college than what I had originally thought. With my involvement in the school, and the community, it has really made me feel better with the fact that I did not waste my high school career doing nothing. My work experience will help me with my degree and understand it better. Everything I have done will help my future, and I am very thankful for that. I am glad that I took the opportunities while I could, and I will not regret my decisions of being so involved.

I have discovered that the only activity that I participate in is band at the high school. I have also found out that I am more involved in my community than I thought I was. I feel a little more prepared about my future because I know that I want to go to Hutchinson Community College, and I know that I want to major in business and minor in accounting. When I was writing my scholarship essay it made me realize that it is all going to become real very quickly. I can’t wait for my future to unfold because I want to see what I will accomplish in the future.

I have discovered a lot about myself this past week. I discovered that I am involved in more school clubs and sports activities than I thought. With being involved in all these activities, I have become more of a leader in each activity. I love being involved in many activities because it helps me gain more experience of being involved and becoming a leader. I have also learned that writing scholarship essays can be very stressful. So with that, I have learned that I get very stressed when I have to make big decisions like the decision of what I want to go to college for and where I want to go. While I have learned a lot about myself this week through my college resume and my scholarship essays, I did realize that I am ready for the next chapter in my life. I believe that even though I don't know what I want to do or where I want to go, I am still determined to go to college.

I have found that I have been more involved in the community than I thought. Through school and sports I have done quite a but of community service that I didn't even realize to be community service at the time. I think I am more and less prepared for my future at the same time.

This past week I have realized that I am more prepared for the college than what I originally thought. I realized that I have participated in a lot of school activities and community service projects than what I had originally thought. All the activities and work experience hours I did while in school will only help me in the future. I am proud of all the work I have put into my high school career and I cannot wait for where it can take me in my post-secondary education. I am super excited for the next chapter of my life!

I have discovered that I am much more involved in the community than I thought. After listing all my community service I realized I might be more prepared for college that I thought. I also noticed that I'm involved in a lot of clubs, which can come in handy when it comes to college. I have grown into a leader and believe that I am prepared for the next chapter in my life. I'm glad I took the opportunities to get involved when I did. High School definitely has been an adventure and making my resume made me realize everything I've accomplished and I don't regret anything.

Over the past week I've realized that I haven't been involved with many clubs or activities here at MHS as I would have liked to be. I go to school, go to work, and go home. I don't have all that much time to be in clubs with my work schedule, but I can't change that now although I'd like to. I don't feel any more ready for college than I did this time last year. I feel that I'm about as ready as I'll ever be. Working on my academic resume I realized that I'll be the only one out of my siblings to go to college and that puts a lot of pressure on me but I'm ready for the challenge. This first major chapter of my life is getting ready to come to a conclusion and I couldn't be more excited for the next.

I have discovered that I have been very involved in the community in the past years. When I was making my scholarship essay, I realized that I had a bunch of community service hours. Sports have really help increase the number of hours of community services that I have done. I think I am less prepared for life after high school than I thought I was, but I still think I am prepared.

During the process of creating my first academic resume and my first scholarship essay I've come to learn that I'm much more prepared for my future than I thought I was. It felt like everyone else that I had talked to about college already had every little detail planned out, and I was feeling more and more clueless as to what to do with my own future and how to go about growing up. Now I've realized that it's completely normal to not know quite what you want yet, but to still have that motivation.

I have not discovered much more about myself than I already knew. I did realize that I probably should have participated more in school activities. Being active would have greatly improved my résumé and any scholarship or even college that I will apply for. As far as academic preparations go, I know I could have done more. I may not be golden, but I am at least eligible for admission to my dream college: K-State. Unfortunately, my high school career up to now has been a "coulda shoulda woulda" case. Though I already knew that, I am still pretty disappointed with my effort towards high school. Aside from that, I have made no new discoveries in the last two weeks' process.

I have figured out that I am ready to move on to the next step in my life, it's just figuring out what that step is and how to take it. I know what I want in life, but how do I get it? And what will it take? I know that I need to buckle down and balance work and school and friends and stop turning things in late. Like this forum comment. I remembered to do it on saturday but wasn't around a conputer at the time and got busy the rest of the weekend. So my next step is to probably cut off working so much.. If I can do that and still afford gas and insurance. Yolo.
