What connections can you already see between your contemporary novel and Dante's Inferno? Do you see a common theme? Is there an obvious circle for your characters? Any other connections, etc.? Explain your answer in at least 100 words. You need only respond to me.

So far in my novel, Something Like Normal, I'm seeing a comparison with Dante's Inferno with the main character, Travis, and his ex-girlfriend. The would be put in circle 2 with the lustful because they cheating on each other multiple times while together. His ex-girlfriend even cheated on Travis and left him for his younger brother, Ryan. Travis' father is also accused of having an affair behind his mother's back. They all would be sent to Hell with the lustful. This is very common early on in the book. That's the biggest connection that has stuck out to me. Lust is very apparent in this book.

Death plays a central role in Cas's life, leading to numerous connections between "Girl of Nightmares" and Dante's "Inferno". The most obvious is the setting. Like Dante, Cas travels into Hell. When he finds Anna, she is puzzled as to whether or not he is alive. After she learns that he is, she questions his presence in Hell. This is similar to the reaction Dante aroused in several of the spirits he met.

I believe that there isn't a huge connection between Dante's Inferno and Something Like Normal; however there could be a connection developing for a character later on in the story! There is a special place in Hell for Travis' brother who is dating his ex-girlfriend. I would say that circle two is most likely the best place for the two as they were lustful. Other than that, I have not found very many connections that just stick out to me, but I believe that if I am patient, there will be a couple important ones that show up.

So far in my book, Something Like Normal, the only connections I see to Dante's Inferno is between the main character Travis and his now ex girlfriend. They both would be put into circle 2, the Lustful because they have cheated on each other multiple times and Travis's ex girlfriend cheated on him with his younger brother who she is now dating. This book is full of Lust and would be found in circle 2.

The obvious connection in The Girl of Nightmares and Dante's Inferno is that Hell is a major component in each novel. Instead of Virgil leading Dante through Hell to realize that he needs to change his ways, Cas believes that Anna doesn't deserve to be in Hell. He vows to open a door to that other world and bring her out of it. Although it's a bit of a stretch because his intentions are good, you could place Thomas in the circle of hell for the magicians and fortune-tellers for his mind-reading abilities, which he occasionally uses against the will of other people.

I don't see very many connection between Dantes Inferno and Something like normal, but after reading you can definitely say that there are many characters that belong in circle 2 " The Lustful". For example, Travis and his ex girlfriend Paige cheated on each other multiple times when they were together and they just had an affair while she's dating Travis's little brother, Ryan. Also, Travis's dad belongs in circle 2 because he is cheating on Travis's mom! There are soo many obstacles this family is going through just like the many circles in Dantes Inferno.

In Something Like Normal, I have not found many connections really. The main one seems to be that Travis' brother, Ryan, stole his ex girlfriend, which would put him in Circle 2. Travis also mentions that him and his ex cheated on each other quite frequently, putting them also in Circle 2, lust. Other than that, I have not found many connections yet.

In the beginning of the book I am reading, Something Like Normal, it talks about the relationships the main character, Travis, and his ex-girlfriend have. They were very lustful considering the would cheat on each other throughout their relationship. When reading this, I was reminded about the circle in Dante's Inferno for the lustful. I feel like the would be placed here with addition to Travis's brother and dad. However, as the story progresses I am starting to think that Travis begins to realize that there is more to life than sex. Even though he has made bad decisions in his past, he might be learning from them.

So far in the book Something Like Normal a main theme is lust. I have read about 1/3 of the book so far and Paige the main characters ex girlfriend which cheated on him with his younger brother while he was deployed has very much shown she is going to the second circle of hell. That is one of the similarties I see between the two books.

Cas is constantly surrounded by death. I mean, he hunts ghosts. His love Anna is gone, just like Beatrice. The biggest and clearest connection to Dante’s Inferno is when Cas enters Hell alive, as Dante did. His live soul’s presence in Hell is highly questioned, just like Dante the Pilgrim’s was. I’m sure the connections will continue to show themselves.

In my contemporary novel, Something Like Normal I believe so far that it would compare with Dante's Inferno by having the main character Travis and his now ex-girlfriend Paige being in circle 2 the lustful because it talks about how they were always having sex cheating on each other while still being in a relationship and when she got fake boob implants at 15 those things just make you out to be some kind of object. And then especially when Paige wrote Travis a "Dear John Letter" telling him that she was leaving him and come to find out it was for his own brother Ryan. Obviously you can tell that as for right now they all would be in circle 2 and as well as Travis and Ryans father because he two has been accused of cheating while being married to his wife. So far this doesnt look good for them!

In my novel something like normal the main connections i see are the sins like how ryan stole his bothers girl. It was like the two dante meets in circle two. and just some of the other things that happen in the book are sisn that you could see in dantes hell. the war he was in, his brother betraying him and his girlfriend cheating on him. so pretty much every one in this book would be in dantes hell.

So far in Girl of Nightmears the main connection to Dante's Inferno is Hell and how Cas wants to go into Hell and get Anna out just like how Dante went into Hell to find Beatrice. When Cas does go into Hell Anna doesn't know if he is actually alive or not then she wonders how he got there like how Dante went into Hell and how he got questioned how he got into Hell. The only reason why Cas wants to go into Hell is because he wants to get Anna out because he thinks that she doesn't deserve to be there.

In my book, Something Like Normal, I can see most of my characters in the second circle of Hell for sins of lustful. While Travis is at war his girlfriend Paige cheats on him with his brother, Travis cheats on Harper with Paige, and Travis's dad cheats on his wife. Basically, there's a lot of cheating going on in my book. I don't see any other comparisons so far in the book to Dante's Inferno.

In "something like normal" and "Dantes inferno" the connection I have made is Travis and his ex girlfriend should be in circle 2 the lustful because they used to cheat on eachother all the time and also his brother for taking his girlfriend while Travis was gone. His dad is an angry man who'd I say would be in the 5th circle (wrathful and sullen). That's all so far.

So far in my book, Something Like Normal, the greatest connection between it and Dante's Inferno is the sin of lust. Travis's ex-girlfriend Paige cheated on him with his younger brother Ryan. They are connected to the two people that Dante met in circle two the circle of lust. Travis could also be put in circle two because he and Paige cheated on each other quite often when they were dating.

I think that Hell is the biggest connection between Anna Dressed in Blood and Dante's Inferno. Cas must travel through Hell to get Anna back and it resembles Dante's Inferno. Death is also a key connection because Cas is constantly surrounded by death. Ghosts, killing ghosts, everything that has to do with death is involved in Cas's life and Dante's Inferno is all about death and life after death.

I feel like travis is going through his own kind ow hell. I mean who wouldn't if you just got back from somewhere that all you do is live in fear of dying and you find out your girlfriend left you for your own brother. That is way messed up and if I was travis I would never talk to my brother again. Also with his dad loving his brother more even though travis is out there putting his life down for his country, I feel like his family is really messed up and he would rather be in afganistan than home with his family.
