Pairing classic literature with contemporary, having some choice in the novels you read, and discussing books in literature circles are new to you this year in College Bound English. Have you enjoyed your experiences this year? Why or why not? Do you like to read new things this way, or do you prefer when everyone in class reads the same thing together? Is there anything you would have liked to have seen done differently? Which novel did you enjoy the most? Why? Respond with at least 100 words, answering every part of the prompt. You need only respond to me.

I have enjoyed the book discussions this year. I like being able to have a choice in the book that I read. I like it because you get to decide what is a good fit for you as far as then book goes. If I get a book that I didn't choose or don't like, it's hard for me to enjoy reading it. I didn't really like having to do a group essay last semester but everything else was really fun. My most favorite book was Dan Brown's Inferno. There was a fun concept that went along with it and Dante's Inferno was interesting too.

I enjoy being able to choose between multiple books. It makes it more enjoyable. I like being put into small groups and having discussions throughout the book. It helps seeing multiple ways of how to take things going on throughout the book. I prefer reading things this way so that we get to read the book that interests us most so we are able to enjoy the book. The book that I enjoyed most was Anna Dressed in Blood. It was such an easy book to get into and once I started reading it was hard to put down.

I liked reading in a group of people and working on it all together when it came down to the project. I enjoyed it this way because it didn't put all the pressure on you completely, you still had to actually read the book to know what's going on. But if you didn't catch something in the book maybe your group member or members did. I was fine with everything but I didn't like the book project when we read Daunte then had to compare it to the next book we read. I enjoyed Divergent cause I have seen the movie and I have never read a book to a movie I have seen.

I personally really enjoy the way we go about picking out books to read. I like it because I like being able to choose what I want to do instead of being told what to read. It’s more enjoyable for me if I have a say in what I read. I also enjoy having small groups to read with rather than doing it as a whole class because it seems less stressful. I don’t see a need for change in the system we use. My favorite book I’ve read so far is probably Inferno. I really liked how there are multiple stories going on in the book so I didn’t get bored like I do with other books.

Reading is not something I tend to do often, when referred to an actual book. I usually struggle in concentrating myself to finish reading one. So far, I have enjoyed reading in English, but more in groups like we have been doing. It is fun, and also to hear about different perspectives of your group about the book. There were some books that I didn't really enjoy, but i did have my favorite. I really liked "The Glass Castle". It was very descriptive, and there were moments were I felt that I actually connected to the book itself, to my life. I wouldn't really want to change anything.

I like that we all had a choice on what book we wanted to read. I am very picky on what books I want to read and when teachers assign one book to the whole class I almost always end up not liking it. When I have a say in what book I choose I tend to enjoy it more. My favorite book this year was probably Anna Dressed In Blood. I am currently reading the second book and it is pretty good so far. It leaves you hanging on answers and on what's going to happen next. I also like having smaller groups to talk to because that makes it a little easier to get your point across to everyone you're talking to.

I have enjoyed my experience reading this way it helps out a lot when I'm trying to understand the book more. I really prefer to read this way, because it helps my understanding and it's way slower sort of pace to do it in smaller groups. Being in a smaller group is a great way to help move things along faster and takes up lesser time. There really isn't anything that I would've liked to seen done differently, because everything that you have done was set up pretty well. The book Divergent, the one I'm in the middle of is a wonderful book. I like this book because it has so much going on in it, that once you start, you can't set it down.

I have very much enjoyed getting to pick out the books I read in this class. I like to do it that way because it gives everyone, including myself, the opportunity to choose a book that will spark our brains and also give us something to read that sounds good to each of us individually. I think it should stay this way and that if everyone were to read the same book, most kids wouldn't enjoy it. My favorite book so far has been the Anna Dressed In Blood series. It was amazing. I loved it because of the romance and mystery. I also liked how the words were printed in red. That gave the book a more appealing characteristic.

I do enjoy the way we read books in class. Where we get to pick the one we want to read and not having a say in what you read and getting stuck with one we don't like. Small groups with discussions can sometimes be really helpful. Maybe your group members see things you didn't realize. My favorite book was Anna Dressed in Blood. It wasn't a type of book I usually read so it was good for a change. I don't really like how there is a project at the end. I would almost like a test better rather than a big project I think.

I much prefer the way we are reading books as a class now to the way we did it before. I like being able to have a choice in what I read. I found it much easier to motivate myself too read when I get to choose what I read. I also like being able to discuss in small groups rather than the whole class I feel like I get to voice my opinion more often like this.

I liked the ability to choose what novel I read this year. It gave me the opportunity to choose a topic in a book that I enjoy, and that I am interested in, which in turn led me to be more interested in the books we are reading. If I am interested in what we are reading, I am more likely to actually read the book itself. The novel that i enjoyed the most would have to have been Going Bovine. This is because it was a rather comedic book, which I enjoyed at that point in time, and because it was a very easy read.

I have really enjoyed the class. I like people reading different books to add to the perspective instead of everyone just reading one book together. My favorite book this year was probably Anna Dressed in Blood, just because there was a bunch of action and excitement. Plus the storyline is absolutely phenomenal. One thing I really enjoyed about the class is that it was very laid back, but also was very focused and straight forward when it was time to work on an assignment or project. I also like how there was no seating assignment, everyone got to pick their chairs, although that almost changed a couple times.

I like the book talks because not everyone likes the same old crusty book. Honestly if I have to read a book either 1. I don't like or 2. by myself I most likely won't read it. But this way you know at least two other people are baring through the hard dreadful pain too.
