This is a first reaction to the book you've chosen for your final project. What do you think of is so far? What made you choose this book (be honest)? Explain. Your post must be at least 100 words, and you only need to respond to me.

I chose the book Insurgent by Veronica Roth. My first reaction is it's a really good book to read. Theres never a dull moment and it always has me hooked on it just like the first book. I've watch the movie of this book and it is already so different and goes into better detail so you understand everything better. The reason I chose this book is because I read the first book Divergent and I was going to read the second book anyways so I thought I would ask if I could use it for my final book project because I knew it was going to be another book I would like.

The novel I chose for our final book project is The Martian. So far it has been one of the best books I have ever read. This will probably end up being my favorite novel. I enjoy that it goes into detail about every problem he is facing, and that it is written in first person. It is like a log that he is talking to, and we get the final result of all of them. It also has a lot of science parts to it: like when he explains the chemical reactions taking place or explaining how a computer program works. I am almost halfway through already and it is sad to think that I am almost done with it.

I have not started it yet but I am super excited to get reading it because I know that I will not be able to put it down. What made me choose this book was because my sister, KIiley, and My good friend, Hannah Marshall, actually read all the books in the series and they said that they LOVED them. So that kinda persuaded me to pick it up and try it. Plus it was a romance novel with action and those are my favorite types of books.

I'm reading Me, and Earl, and the Dying Girl. I haven't read it too much yet, but from what I've read so far I think it will be a good read. It's very good book for high school students.Already within in the first few pages you can relate to what the character's saying. I chose this book because I've always wanted to watch the movie for the book. So I wanted to read it before I watched it. Also, the title caught my attention. I think it will be a fun read to end the year with.

The book I chose is Unbroken and so far the book is moving slow and it's just opening up telling the reader about the main character. It is very interesting though because the main character is a big deal. Big time track runner who sets records. The reason I chose this book is because I hear it is really good and keeps you wanting to read. It's about a man and his will to survive and keep pushing it hoping to make it out. That is why it caught my attention. I hope it turns out to be as good as everyone says it is.

I chose the book Champion by Marie Lu the third book in the Legend Series. I haven't actually read started reading the book yet because I just finished the second one last night and if this last one is nearly as good as the first two then it'll be great. I chose this book because the first two books were the two best books I have ever read in my life and I've read quite a few. I can't wait to find out what the third one has in store for me.

I chose the book Looking for Alaska by John Green, and I choose this book because I read The Fault in our Stars and saw the movie and I thought they were very good so I figured other John Green books would be good as well. The book is very good and hooked me from the beginning. It's very different but real at the same time. Changing schools would be very tough and very intimidating, but Pudge does what he can to fit in with the flow.

I am reading Rebel Heart, the second book to Blood Red Road. I think that Rebel Heart will be a little different than Blood Red Road. I think that Rebel Heart will have more action in it than Blood Red Road. I chose this book, because I read Blood Red Road and I wanted to read the second book to that series. The other reason I chose this book is because I like action books and there was action in Blood Red Road. I'm assuming there will be action in Rebel Heart too. Maybe even a lot more action. I haven't gotten far in it.

I am looking forward to reading “Kabul Beauty School”. So far it really has be interested. This book addresses the culture of Afghanistan during and after the Taliban took over. I love learning about other cultures and I am looking forward to learning more. It’s great that the book is put in the perspective of the American woman. It helps give a perspective about what she thinks and feels. The book begins with a poem from an Afghan woman who shares her feeling of oppression in the society. We are truly blessed to be somewhere with this strong of oppression.

For my final book project, I chose, "Salt to the Sea" by Ruta Sepetys. I haven't read that far yet, however, it started out as attention grabbing. The first sentence is, "guilt is a hunter" so I was hooked from there. I chose this book first of because I judged it by its cover, this might sound weird but I like hard back books so that kind of helped me make my decision. I read the inside and it said it was about some refugees and was based on the greatest tragedy in maritime history, it also talked about World War 2. I have never been interested by old time, history books and this one sounded good, so I decided to try it. I also noticed how it was, like Unwind, written in different perspectives which I really grew to like while reading Unwind, so that was an added bonus.

The book I chose for this last project was Paper Towns by John Green. I am excited to get into this book. I have always heard great things about the John Green books and I have always wanted to read them. This is the main reason I chose the book. I saw the movie and it was okay but I wasn’t extremely impressed, however I have been ensured the book is much better (this is usually the case). I usually don’t have time to read fiction books so having to do it as a project justifies taking the time.

So far I like my book. It was a little confusing at the beginning but after I got into it wasn't hard to follow. I think it will be a pretty interesting book. I picked it because I like books about history and Nixon said this is one of her favorite books. I have also had friends that have read it and liked it, so that persuaded me to read it as well. After I get farther into the book I think I'll like it more, so far I'm only on chapter 4, so I'm not that far into the book. I think it'll get better after I read more.

I'm not too far into my book, but it's really easy and addicting to read so far. It's started out with the contest that Halliday started before he died. Wade was in his last year of school and was about to graduate when he almost solves Halliday's first riddle. His school is just a bunch of the same schools copy and pasted multiple times on one non PVP planet. One of the main reasons I chose this book was because my friends recommended it to me. They told me it was about video games and that plus having to do this project was all I needed to get myself to start reading it.

The book I chose for the final project is Inexcusable. The reason I chose this book was, because I went and talked to Mrs. Marshall and told her I want a short book that will interest me. I honestly haven't started reading the book. I do think I'll enjoy the book though.

The book I chose for this project is Thirteen Reasons Why. My first reaction to this book was what are they talking about. I had to read on to figure out that it is a repeating process of people receiving a package from the next person on the list. Inside the package are tapes and a map that people might not want to open and listen to. I chose this book because I know a lot of people who have read it and they all said it was really good. I think I will like the book a lot.

I chose the book A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness. I decided to choose this book because the cover looks awesome and it has illustrations in the book. It looks really dark and grotesque, so that interests me. After reading the first page I can already tell this book is gonna be insane and awesome. I'm looking forward to reading this book.

I am very happy with the book I picked. I chose to read into the wild which is a book about a young man who is tired of society and wants a change in his life. It starts out with him being picked up in Alaska where he has a spot picked out for is home for the winter months. He plans to live off of the land for a few months then return to society. The equipment he brings is very light and the man who picked him up tries to talk him out of it. I can’t wait to read more.

So far I have been reading my own copy on my IPad "Fault In Our Stars," because the copy from the library has not been checked in for me to check out just yet. I am not that far into the book yet... but from what I have read so far it is going to be as cute as the movie was. I have heard from numerous people that the book is completely different than the movie so I'm excited to see what the differences are. Love stories and action stories are what interest me the most so I was happy I could have chosen this book to read for the last project.
