We've done a lot of work lately with multiple choice passages. What do you feel has helped you the most? What do you feel like you still need work on? What can we do in class to better prepare you for that portion of the AP exam (outside of just doing more practice)? Explain.

I think getting into groups and comparing answers has helped me the most because you have to have an answer that has solid evidence in the passage to argue if you think you're answer is right. I also like when we go through them as a class so I can see how I misinterpreted a passage that I didn't clearly understand. I think that I am as prepared as I'm going to get for the multiple choice section because we have done so much practice.

I think that going through the problems afterwards and talking about what they mean and the reasoning behind the choices has helped the most. I think I need to work on literary devices. I also enjoyed getting together with groups to find one common answer. I think that going over devices and the basic parts of poetry and prose as a refresher would help.

The work we have done with multiple choice passages lately is actually helping, in my opinion. I like that we are getting the practice in before the actual test. It also builds up my confidence seeing that I have been doing pretty well on the majority of the passages. I think that discussing the questions we have missed is also a huge help, because it lets us see what the writers are looking for. To better prepare for the AP exam, I think we just need to continue doing more practice.

The hardest part about the multiple choice passages is figuring out what is even going on in the passage. So what's been most helpful to me has just been doing lots of practice ones and then going over the answers as a class. When we discuss the passage I usually understand why I may have missed the ones I did. I need to work a little bit more on learning the actual names for some of the literary devices. Overall I feel pretty prepared for the multiple choice section of the AP exam.

I feel like all the multiple choice work we're doing is helping me the most. Although I don't particularly like doing multiple passages a week, I feel like in the long run I will be better prepared for the actual exam. I still need to work on my mind process when I'm stumped on a passage, and how to drive my mind towards a more productive thinking. I also need to work on how to mark up my passages to help better my understanding, I tend to just paraphrase, but marking it up with a meaning would help ease the work of the questions. We can continue to work on passages to better prepare for the exam, because repetition works well for helping me learn how to master these.

Overall I feel ready and am unconcerned for the AP exam. I believe the multiple choice packets helped and I don't believe any more practice is necessary, for me.

The explanation of the questions and their answers has helped a lot. I also like the technique of going through the text and trying to guess where a question would be, it kind of helps with my understanding of the poem. I need to work more on actually thinking through all of the answer choices, rather than just seeing one I like and going with it without looking at the other choices. Maybe going into a little bit more of the strategies to use on the multiple choice and trying to get into the mindset of the AP test writers to try and figure out what they would want or expect for an answer.

Honestly, as much as I don't enjoy doing the multiple choice passages, I feel that they have really been helpful. They're helpful to me because each time we do one I seem to just a little bit better or it's easier for me to understand the passage or poem. It's nice to feel that much more prepared for the exam. I think the most helpful part is getting into groups because we are able to discuss why we chose what we did and are able to see the different possibilities of each answer choice.

I think comparing answers in groups has helped a lot because it's nice to validate answers as correct. Also, going through each question(or at least the ones we miss a lot) helps because then we can go through the thought process of the question so as to help with similar questions in the future. I honestly don't know if there are any other helpful ways to get us ready for the exam. Maybe go through our notes on all of the differen rhetorical devices and talk through the uncommon ones?
