We've done a lot of work lately with multiple choice passages. What do you feel has helped you the most? What do you feel like you still need work on? What can we do in class to better prepare you for that portion of the AP exam (outside of just doing more practice)? Explain.

What helps me the most, is when we go through them either all together in groups, to compare different ways of thinking and it helps you choose the best possible answer. I really just need to work on reading into the passage more instead of rushing through and having to go back and reread the passage over.

I feel like just doing the passages are helping the most. MY average has gone up since we started doing them. I would like to see more stuff on the essays. I know I will be able to do very well on the questions but I'm not comfortable with writing essays and knowing them inside and out like the multiple choice questions.

I feel like right now I'm as prepared as I'm going to get. I generally understand the passage fairly well, generally my only issue is not reading the question well enough and missing something because of lack of close reading. Overall, however, I'm not overly concerned for the exam.

What has helped me the most was analyzing over and over and going through it in class. I still need to work on how to manage my time better if I get stuck on a question so I don't go into panic mode. One think that could help is if I do get stuck on a question, what are some options I could do and still stay on track with time?

I really like when we just go over the answers in class. Whenever we are in groups I always tend to second guess myself and change my answer to fit with the rest of the group, then I get it wrong. I need a bit more work on calming down during the passage and reading the answers carefully. Other than practicing the passages more I don't know what else to do. Since we've been doing more my scores have been getting higher.

I feel that just actually doing to passages is helping the most. I am beginning to get a feel for what the test authors mean by their questions and also how to analyze different types of writing. I think I still need to work on reading deeper into poetry. I think we should work a bit more on essays as I felt lost when attempting to write the poetry analysis essay.

I feel that going over the passages as a class and talking about why we got things wrong has helped me a lot. I still need to work on reading the questions more thoroughly and going through them again when I still have extra time. To better prepare for the AP Exam, I think we should review on the different parts of poetry. It's been a while and I have forgotten a few things.

I think that the passages are helping. Going over them by ourselves then getting with a group and comparing answers helps me the most. When we get in the groups it allows me to hear what the others think on question that were hard for me to decide what to choose as my answer. Then when we go over the answers as a class and discuss them that helps me even more. I still need to read the poems more in depth but with each practice I am getting better at it. The essays are a whole different story though. The last one we did I think I completely messed up on because I did not read it in depth enough. Working on more essays would hopefully help this.

I think working on the passages help a lot. I also like when we first do it by ourselves first, then get in groups and come up with a group answer. I think that helps us look deeper into the questions and give reason to why we chose the answers we did. I still need to work on reading the poetry prompts deeper.

I think practicing multiple choice is very helpful. Each time we do my score improves. I like it when we discuss and go over the answers, because it helps me understand what I need to be looking on the multiple choice next time we do it. I think the questions I need to most help with are the ones when you have to connect a word to the pronoun. Also, I sometimes have a hard time with questions on literary devices. I have to guess on most of those, because I don't remember a lot of them. Maybe we can do some more review on literary devices before the test.

I feel like I get the most out of the time that we go over the passages. When we discuss the meaning behind each, I start to pick up on how to read the passages so that I get the most information out of them. Also going through the answers is helpful. It's nice to hear why each answer is what it is. I have a hard time remembering what the terms are. Half the time as I'm going through the questions, I don't know what they're asking. I think some review over terms and literary devices would help me.

I think going over the answers and discussing them as a class helps me the best. As we go over the answers and the reasoning behind it, I am starting to find the patterns and where to look to find the answers. I think doing multiple passages helps with the time management and gives me a better feel for what the actual AP exam will be like. Overall, I've been able to get better with each practice multiple choice exams.

Taking all these practice passages, as annoying as they can be, really do help. Being exposed to the types of questions and passages that will appear on the test will help out a lot. The practice essays help too, especially with time management and pacing. I still need to work on poetic devices. Going over poetic devices, like structure of the poems more, would help me tremendously.

What helps me the most is just repetitively doing more packets! I really like going through them as a class but not in small groups because I have trouble asserting myself with my answer without being rude and never know how far to take it.

What helps me the most is when we go through the answers as a class and talk everything through. I feel very prepared, so I don't really feel like I have much more to do. To better prepare in class, we as a class could maybe review how to write the essays like a week before the exam.

What helps me the most is after we do the multiple choice packets and then go through the answers one by one and talk about them. I really struggle with looking deeper into the meaning of each poem and just need to work on that. But I really do feel liking talking about the questions as a collective whole help me the best.
